Project Zeta
Wellbeing First
Supporting People When Pressure Becomes Personal
Project Zeta exists to support people whose wellbeing has been worn down by prolonged pressure, responsibility, and isolation. For many business owners, carers, widows, and self-employed people, stress does not arrive suddenly — it accumulates quietly over time until resilience is exhausted. Project Zeta provides early, compassionate, peer-to-peer wellbeing support that focuses on the person, not a diagnosis, and prioritises care, dignity, and connection before crisis takes hold.
Who Project Zeta Is For
Project Zeta supports people who are struggling, often without showing it.
This includes:
- Business owners and directors under sustained emotional pressure
- Carers and widows carrying responsibility alone
- Self-employed people without access to workplace wellbeing support
- Iividuals experiencing burnout, anxiety, or emotional exhaustion
- People who feel overwhelmed, isolated, or close to breaking point
Many people supported through Project Zeta do not see themselves as “unwell”. They simply know that something is not right, and that continuing without support is becoming harder.
What Project Zeta Does
Project Zeta delivers wellbeing-first support, grounded in empathy, lived experience, and peer understanding.
Support may include:
- Safe, confidential conversations without judgement
- Peer-to-peer support from people who understand pressure firsthand
- Space to talk openly without needing to “perform” or explain
- Support to rebuild emotional stability and resilience
- Gentle pathways into further support when needed
Project Zeta does not rely on clinical thresholds, labels, or crisis escalation. Support begins when someone reaches out — not when they reach breaking point.
Why This Matters
Mental health challenges among business owners and people carrying responsibility are significantly higher than the national average, yet access to early, appropriate support remains limited. Many individuals avoid seeking help due to stigma, fear of judgement, or concern about cost or consequences. As pressure builds, isolation deepens, and risk increases.
Therefore, Project Zeta exists to intervene early, reduce isolation, and create space for people to be heard as human beings. By supporting wellbeing first, Project Zeta helps prevent crisis, protect life, and restore the capacity to think, decide, and move forward.
How Project Zeta Connects to the Other Support Pillars
Project Zeta is a central pillar within 3E’s wrap-around support framework.
- Project Epsilon supports business owners whose wellbeing is affected by business pressure
- Project Alpha provides housing stability where insecurity undermines recovery
- Project Gamma supports commercial stability and livelihoods
- Project Delta reduces stress caused by broken systems and structures
- Project Beta generates ethical enterprise income that removes cost as a barrier to care
Therefore, Project Zeta ensures that wellbeing is never treated as an afterthought, but as a foundation for recovery, stability, and sustainable decision-making.
What We Need to Grow Project Zeta
Demand for wellbeing support continues to grow as pressure increases across society.
To expand Project Zeta, 3E’s Foundation is seeking:
- Peer mentors and lived-experience contributors
- Wellbeing practitioners aligned with trauma-informed values
- Safe community spaces for support and connection
- Funding partners who believe in prevention, not crisis response
Support does not have to be clinical or complex — presence, understanding, and consistency are often what matter most.
A Different Way of Supporting Wellbeing
Project Zeta is not about fixing people or measuring distress. It is about listening, connecting, and caring. When people feel heard, they begin to stabilise. When pressure eases, clarity returns. When wellbeing is supported early, lives can be protected.
